Ice Skating on Saturday

So unsuspecting...

Pretty sure these are smiles of relief to be done, it was extremely cold and the skates really hurt.




The lodge was having a tree lighting festival later that evening. These ice sculptures had just been created for it. There was also a bear, a beautiful eagle and a decorated Christmas tree with real decorations stuck in it. This "bar" had holes on the other side deep enough for bottles to be kept chilled in. Free hot chocolate and cookies. I'm pretty sure hot chocolate is Sun Valley's signature drink- they just go together in the winter and you can find some just about anywhere. We met up with Liz after skating and ate dinner before checking out the lights.
