Great Grandpa & Grandma - Papa Dan & Grandma Sue come to visit

Last weekend Grandpa Jim, Grandma Carole, Papa Dan & Grandma Sue came for an overnight visit. They arrived Saturday afternoon and got the tour of Casa de Fuhrman/McCormick from the kids. After visiting, we BBQ'd with the Waulters' family along with Sheila's dad- Bob and her Aunt Dar. Quincy has something called Farmer/Consumer days here every year on the second weekend of September and we had heard about a hot air balloon show they put on at the local turf farm. It was truly beautiful, after the sun had set, the hot air balloons were lit up. We forgot our camera (what else is new), but Grandma Carole was able to get some great shots of the balloons lit up. As soon as we are able, we'll post those as well. We've never experienced anything like that before. After the show was over, we headed home- as soon as the sun sets, it gets mighty chilly. We were treated to a fireworks show during the ride with the finale happening just before pulling into the driveway. We couldn't go to bed before a little friendly game of "31". The next morning, we had a great breakfast prepared by Chef Jim and headed out to the local produce stand. As produce stands go, this one was really small and didn't have much but Gracie was able to talk Great Grandma into a popsicle before leaving. We had a wonderful time and were very sad to see them leave. We're coming back to Eatonville on the second weekend of October. We miss you all and will see you soon.
